Are you on the brink of burnout?

You’re in the right place.

As a Certified Life & Career Coach, I help people recover from burnout and redesign their world so it never happens again.

A recent study of 2,000 adults revealed that the average person will say "I'm fine" 14 times per week.

But only 19% actually mean it.

Hi, my name is Stephanie.

I’m a former workaholic and one of burnout’s best customers.

For over a decade, I consistently clocked 70+ hour work weeks. I ate countless dinners at my desk. I willingly gave away my nights and weekends. I did whatever it took to get the job done. And let’s be honest, to do it perfectly.

My team loved me. My clients raved about me. My boss promoted me — again and again. My inner perfectionist and people-pleaser beamed with pride.

I thought this was the recipe for success. But somewhere along the way, I realized that I had traded everything in life to be the best at work. And it was slowly sucking the life out of me.

Advertising is notorious for horrible work/life balance, so, naturally, I blamed the job. But when I looked around the office at 5:15pm each night, I was the only one there. Everyone else seemed to have cracked the code on how to have a life outside work and a successful career.

My pride eventually morphed into resentment and anger as I waited for someone to rescue me. To let me in on the secret. Or to intervene when they saw my timesheets and the hundreds of dollars in late-night cabs each month.

But they didn’t. And I didn’t know what else to do.

“The phrase ‘If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen’ is basically saying: The kitchen is what it is, and you’re going to have to figure out how to deal with it… without ever asking,
Does the kitchen really have to be that hot?

People laughing at work

The truth is, work doesn’t have to be this hard.

Somewhere along the line, we’re taught that striving for success comes at a price. That work/life balance isn’t actually attainable. And that getting ahead requires giving up something else that’s important to you. Whether it’s working long hours, tossing and turning through sleepless nights, tolerating a challenging boss, calling in while on vacation, or working yourself into burnout, many of us have made some sort of compromise.

But I’m here to tell you what I wish someone would have told me: you don’t have to choose between being successful and prioritizing your wellness. Not only are both possible, they’re completely within your control.

It all came down to three simple words.

I ended my decade-plus pattern of burning out, reclaimed my personal life, and completely redesigned my relationship with work, guided by three simple but powerful words:

Good. And. Enough.

These words liberated me from the trap of perfection and people-pleasing that became a hallmark of my work life.

Now, instead of striving for perfection, I aim to do work that is Good — work that makes me proud, that wows my clients, that wins awards. And work that is Enough — work that answers the assignment, that drives the business forward, but that also leaves me time and energy to create a life I love outside of the office.

Now I make decisions based on my values. I let go of the things I can’t control.
And I resist the urge to care what others think.

And I can help you do it, too.

“As a result of working together, I was able to get clarity around how/where I tend to hold back and why, how to set goals that I actually want to stay accountable to, and how to show up differently when I encounter a situation or dynamic that triggers me in some way. This has already had a visible impact on my career in my ability to better manage interpersonal dynamics at work.”

— Caroline, Charlotte, NC

“Stephanie is a very patient coach and masterfully used her intuition and questioning skills to support and guide me through each session.
